Your Role

We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager/Associate specializing in Transportation Engineering (Transit/BRT) to lead a dedicated team of project managers and technical experts in executing transit and rail initiatives. You will oversee projects at different stages, from initial planning to design, construction, and final occupancy. Our focus is on providing Technical Advisory services in collaboration with significant government entities, with opportunities to engage in Design Build projects.

This role offers flexibility in both the working environment and the collaborative nature of our team, fostering partnerships with clients and innovative strategies for future growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple projects as a Project Manager or Technical Advisor, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary Design Team, including Engineers, Scientists, and Planners.
  • Encourage innovative thinking to enhance business processes.
  • Promote and manage a robust safety culture within the team.
  • Facilitate daily project oversight and maintain clear communication with clients and team members.
  • Develop and manage project schedules and budgets throughout all project phases.
  • Review contracts, invoices, and payments for all project-related parties.
  • Ensure quality assurance through safety programs and inspections.
  • Assist in contract negotiations and manage financial aspects of projects.
  • Resolve disputes and claims effectively.
  • Collaborate regularly with colleagues in a multidisciplinary design environment.
  • Support business development initiatives and lead proposal efforts.

Qualifications

Skills and Credentials

  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with a focus on relationship-building.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines independently.
  • A proactive work ethic, with a commitment to excellence and team collaboration.

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of 15 years in Engineering, Technical Advisory, Construction Management, or related fields.
  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a comparable discipline.
  • Certification as a Registered Member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) or equivalent.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is advantageous.
