Position Overview

The Culinary Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the kitchen within a food service establishment. This role requires a strong focus on quality control, staff management, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
  • Train team members on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  • Estimate necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Ensure food quality and service standards are consistently met.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste.
  • Prepare and submit operational reports as required.
  • Possess knowledge of various culinary styles relevant to the establishment.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for kitchen staff.
  • Oversee kitchen operations to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage cost of products and services.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for kitchen staff.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for food and other necessary supplies.
  • Organize and maintain kitchen inventory efficiently.
  • Plan, direct, and evaluate daily kitchen operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of 11-15 individuals.

  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word.
