About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at Pet Valu. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our operations and ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and confirm appointments, meetings, and events, ensuring timely and efficient communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and respond to electronic inquiries in a professional and courteous manner, providing excellent customer service to our clients.
  • Administrative Support: Compile data, statistics, and other information to support business decisions, oversee the preparation of reports, and maintain accurate records.
  • Office Management: Order office supplies, maintain inventory, and ensure a well-organized and efficient work environment.
  • Documentation and Correspondence: Type and proofread correspondence, forms, and other documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Team Support: Provide administrative support to our team members, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in an administrative role.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to multitask, and strong organizational skills.
  • Computer and Technology: Proficient in MS Outlook and MS Office.
  • Security and Safety: Bondable.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Ability to multitask, excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, and reliability.
