About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Pet Valu. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring the overall success of our store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Sales Team: Assign sales workers to duties, authorize returns, and sell merchandise to meet sales targets.
  • Prepare Reports: Analyze sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
  • Customer Service: Resolve customer complaints, requests, and supply shortages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure stock availability and minimize waste.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and coordinate activities of 1-2 team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Security and Safety: Maintain basic security clearance and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Transportation: Utilize public transportation to travel to and from work.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and walking frequently.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate accuracy, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organization, reliability, and teamwork.
  • Experience: Possess 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail environment, with a permanent position and 30 hours of work per week.
