About Centre Street Deli

We are a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant looking for a skilled and experienced line cook to join our team. As a line cook at Centre Street Deli, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as training staff in food preparation and handling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Staff Training: Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Supply Management: Order and manage kitchen supplies and equipment to ensure efficient operation.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that customers receive high-quality food and a positive dining experience.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
  • Transportation: Own transportation or ability to use public transportation.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, with the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced kitchen environment, with exposure to heat, noise, and other kitchen hazards.
