We are seeking a skilled and experienced line cook to join our team at 21 Steps kitchen + bar. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes to order, using a variety of cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Team Leadership: Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers, ensuring that they are equipped to perform their duties to the highest standards.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked and organized.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Work Setting: This role is based in a restaurant environment.
- Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
- Hours: 40 hours per week is the standard working hours for this role.
