We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team at Southside Diner. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the needs of our customers.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Staff Training and Supervision: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient operations.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize kitchen operations.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with physically demanding tasks.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods and work under pressure.
