About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at The Westin Resort & Spa Whistler. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and quality in our guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily activities of our housekeeping team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect Sites and Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of our guest rooms and public areas to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Assist Cleaners: Provide support and guidance to our housekeeping team members as needed, ensuring that they have the resources and training they need to succeed.
  • Manage Worksite Environment: Ensure that our housekeeping team members work in a safe and healthy environment, free from hazards and risks.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is required.
  • Worksite Environment: Our housekeeping team members work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of physical activity.
  • Work Setting: Our housekeeping team members work in a hotel, motel, or resort setting.
  • Tasks: Our housekeeping team members are responsible for a variety of tasks, including supervising and coordinating activities, inspecting sites and facilities, assisting cleaners, and managing worksite environment.
  • Supervision: Our housekeeping team members work under the supervision of a senior housekeeping manager.
  • Security and Safety: Our housekeeping team members are required to undergo a criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Our housekeeping team members work in a physically demanding environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
  • Personal Suitability: Our housekeeping team members must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
