Position Responsibilities
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Utilize customer service principles when engaging with patients, families, and staff.
- Coordinate interdepartmental activities, including patient transportation and appointment scheduling.
- Manage communication by screening calls, relaying messages, and arranging referrals.
- Identify and escalate issues to the Clinical Team Manager in a timely manner.
- Compile and distribute documents related to program activities.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and manage staffing schedules.
- Process orders and notifications within the scope of practice.
- Support clinicians with scheduling and follow-up tasks.
- Ensure documentation is organized and up-to-date.
- Prepare reports and manage office supplies efficiently.
- Implement patient-centered communication strategies with all stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Current Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
- High School diploma.
- Medical Office Assistant certification from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a medical inpatient setting.
- Experience with payroll and scheduling systems.
- Commitment to patient-centered care.
- Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
