Position: Legal Assistant – Personal Injury Law

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with attorneys, team members, clients, and other professionals regarding assigned cases or projects;
  • Prepare and manage correspondence with clients, counsel, experts, and other professionals;
  • Request, obtain, review, organize, analyze, and serve medical records and other documentation;
  • Gather, review, and organize information related to damages;
  • Coordinate scheduling for discoveries, mediations, and other relevant events;
  • Maintain comprehensive and updated files in accordance with established firm policies;
  • Communicate with medical personnel and others involved in patient care as necessary;
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and trial records; file documents according to judicial procedures;
  • Prepare medical chronologies when appropriate;
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparations;
  • Track billable hours dedicated to specific cases;

Essential Qualifications:

  • A diploma or degree in law clerk studies or paralegal studies is required;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury law is required;
  • Resourceful and solution-oriented mindset;
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities under time constraints;
  • Capability to work independently while fostering a positive team environment;
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, efficiency, and preparedness;
  • Willingness to collaborate with a team of assistants and clerks to meet client needs;
  • Proficient in computer skills and software applications;
