Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

Reporting Structure

This role reports directly to the Talent Acquisition Manager.

Key Responsibilities

The Talent Acquisition and Advancement function at ABB collaborates with various business units to attract, select, retain, and onboard top talent. The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will work closely with candidates and line managers, as well as engage with our Early Talent, University Relations & Employer Branding Team, Global Business Services (GBS), and HR Business Partners.

You will serve as the primary contact for internal stakeholders regarding Talent Acquisition and Advancement needs across Canada for all Lines of Business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the complete recruitment lifecycle, from job intake and posting to sourcing, selection, offer negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Utilizing headhunting techniques to source candidates for challenging roles.
  • Ensuring the quality of job postings, addressing gender biases, and aligning them with corporate branding.
  • Providing constructive feedback and coaching to both internal and external candidates in line with local practices and regulations.
  • Delivering an exceptional Candidate Experience (CX).
  • Collaborating with HR leadership and business leaders to identify current talent challenges and develop effective sourcing strategies.
  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on talent market trends, offering guidance and feedback to internal hiring managers.
  • Participating in, leading, or collaborating on various Talent Projects.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant recruitment role; agency experience is preferred.
  • Fluency in both French and English is essential, as the role involves recruitment activities across Canada in both languages.
  • Strong communication, sales, and advisory skills, with a passion for networking.
  • A creative mindset with an interest in employer branding and a robust social media presence.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys a positive work environment.
  • This position requires in-office presence one day a week and additional time as needed for business initiatives.
