This position reports to:

Talent Acquisition Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

The Talent Acquisition and Talent Advancement division at ABB collaborates with various business functions to attract, select, retain, and onboard top talent. The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will report directly to the Canadian Head of Talent and will work closely with candidates and line managers, while also engaging with our Early Talent, University Relations & Employer Branding Team, Global Business Services (GBS), and HR Business Partners. You will serve as the primary contact for internal clients regarding Talent Acquisition and Talent Advancement needs across Canada for all Lines of Business. You will oversee and manage the complete recruitment cycle, from job intake, posting, sourcing, selection, offer negotiation, to onboarding. Actively source candidates through headhunting for challenging roles. Ensure the quality of job postings, address gender biases, and align them with corporate branding. Provide constructive feedback and coaching to both internal and external candidates in accordance with local practices and regulations. Strive to deliver an exceptional Candidate Experience (CX). Collaborate with HR leadership and business leaders to identify current talent challenges and devise both short and long-term sourcing strategies. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the business and its leaders on talent market trends. Offer coaching and feedback to internal hiring managers. Participate in, lead, or collaborate on various Talent Projects.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant recruitment role, with agency experience preferred.
  • Fluency in both French and English, both verbal and written, is essential. The selected candidate will manage recruitment activities across Canada in both languages.
  • Exceptional communication, sales, and advisory skills, with a passion for networking.
  • Innovative thinker with a strong interest in employer branding, a robust social media presence, and a willingness to embrace challenges.
  • A true team player with a collaborative spirit who enjoys a positive work environment.
  • This role requires in-office presence one day a week and as needed for business initiatives.
