About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Totem Resorts. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory.
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure excellent food preparation and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and execute special events and banquets.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
  • Consult with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities to meet quality standards.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
