About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Supervisor to join our team at Sealion Cargo Inc. as a key member of our logistics operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Logistics Plans: Create and execute comprehensive logistics plans to ensure the efficient movement of goods and materials.
  • Oversee Logistics Operations: Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Manage Logistics Teams: Lead and motivate a team of logistics professionals to achieve operational excellence and meet business objectives.
  • Monitor and Analyze Logistics Performance: Track and analyze key logistics metrics, including transportation costs, delivery times, and inventory levels, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and Implement Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline logistics processes and implement changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of logistics operations and meet customer needs.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a related field, such as logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role, preferably in a transportation or freight forwarding environment.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficiency in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Windows.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, and analytical skills.
