Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified French Immersion Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in teaching French as a second language and have experience working with students in a Grade 8-12 setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach French Immersion courses to students in a Grade 8-12 setting
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver programs
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in second language instruction
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Education Degree with a specialization in French Immersion
  • Valid NWT Teaching Certificate or eligibility for certification
  • Strong knowledge of second language methodology and technology integration
  • Experience working with Indigenous cultures and northern communities an asset
  • Vulnerable sector check required
