Job Title: French Immersion Teacher

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced French Immersion Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French Immersion courses to students in grades 8-12.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach French Immersion courses to students in grades 8-12
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver programs
  • Use technology to enhance teaching and learning
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Education degree with a specialization in French Immersion
  • Must be bilingual (French/English)
  • Experience teaching in a northern community and understanding of Indigenous cultures an asset
  • Vulnerable sector check required
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to teach in a second language at a Grade 8-12 level
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of an effective school team
  • Organizational skills with initiative and a strong team focus
