Key Responsibilities

As the Services Manager, you will play a crucial role in cultivating our work, learn, and grow culture for both customers and associates. Your primary responsibility will be to drive business results through effective management and execution of service areas within the store, including cash operations, solutionshop (printing, digital marketing, shipping), and technology services. You will excel in coaching, attracting, training, and developing associates to become dynamic partners in all business areas. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional customer experiences at Staples.

Specific Duties Include:

  1. Enhancing sales growth in the services area, particularly within the solutionshop, cash, and technology services.
  2. Overseeing the coordination and execution of services while maximizing departmental productivity.
  3. Monitoring merchandise usage within the store.
  4. Leading the team through effective hiring, onboarding, coaching, and development.
  5. Providing cash support to associates at checkout to ensure a positive customer experience.
  6. Maintaining cleanliness to promote a positive environment for customers and associates.
  7. Ensuring the safe and proper use of all store equipment.
  8. Inspiring and engaging the team while ensuring effective two-way communication.
  9. Leading, coaching, and managing operational excellence and store standards for your departments.
  10. Supporting asset protection initiatives and programs.
  11. Prioritizing a clean and safe environment, keeping the safety of yourself, your team, and our customers at the forefront.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in Retail or Services Management (or any customer experience-focused sector).
  2. Completion of high school and post-secondary education is preferred.
  3. Demonstrated success in achieving customer service excellence and sales results.
  4. Comfortable with technology.
  5. A dynamic and inspiring partner to both customers and associates.
  6. Curiosity and approachability.
  7. A passion for solutions.

Additional Information

  1. Moderate physical effort and operation of equipment/machinery are required to meet merchandising standards and enhance customer experience.
  2. Exposure to moderate noise levels generated by print equipment.
  3. Standing in a stationary position for extended periods may be required while processing various orders.
  4. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
