About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Systems Analyst to join our team at PHSA. As a Clinical Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining complex clinical application systems that impact various functional areas throughout our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct feasibility studies for clinical applications, determining user and department requirements, and performing feasibility/impact analysis
  • Develop specifications for complex clinical application systems, gathering detailed information from user departments and translating it into technical system requirements
  • Implement system changes and break fixes following IMITS change control processes and incident management processes
  • Assist with design/build system activities, performing modification and enhancement tasks using various tools and technologies
  • Measure and document system performance metrics, and liaise with vendors and users to analyze system performance and develop capacity plans
  • Support system upgrades and implementations, performing tasks such as testing, data conversion, and logging issues
  • Assemble, create, and maintain information systems technical and operational documentation
  • Provide input into disaster preparedness plans, participating in the development and maintenance of clinical application downtime procedures
  • Provide system support to users, troubleshooting system software problems and developing a comprehensive understanding of clinical application needs and business processes
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized diploma or degree program in Computer Science or Health Information Science, plus three (3) years' recent related experience
  • Ability to organize work, communicate effectively, and deal with others effectively
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
  • Ability to operate related equipment
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada
  • Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities of settler colonialism on Indigenous Peoples and familiarity with addressing Indigenous-specific anti-racism, anti-racism, and Indigenous Cultural Safety
