Clinical Systems Trainer and Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Support Analyst Trainer to join our team at PHSA. As a key member of our clinical informatics team, you will be responsible for providing training and support to our clinical staff on the use of our clinical information systems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide training and support to clinical staff on the use of clinical information systems, including conducting needs analysis, developing training materials, and delivering training sessions.
- Respond to clinical systems utilization problems by providing resolutions and taking corrective action using established procedures.
- Initiate and track resolution of incidents arising from clinical utilization problems, including gathering information from users and communicating with technical support staff and management.
- Develop and maintain procedures for clinical utilization of the system, including conferring with users and analyzing and assessing current practices.
- Maintain various manuals and on-line training and reference documentation, including revising and editing documentation as needed.
- Contribute to the establishment of educational standards for clinical systems training and work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop and implement training programs.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and activities, including analyzing learning outcomes and developing evaluation tools.
- Provide input into the development of support procedures for caregivers, including identifying problems and suggesting revisions to established procedures.
- Modify, test, and maintain clinical utilization systems processes, including gathering detailed information from users and identifying problems with existing processes.
- Prepare reports for management, including producing administrative, statistical, and graphical reports as requested.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Two years' recent nursing experience, including one year's recent experience with the use of microcomputer hardware and software, computer-based clinical information systems, and teaching/education experience in a computerized client care environment.
- Broad knowledge of the Registered Nurses' Association of British Columbia standards of practice and guidelines for clinical practitioners.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with others in a consultative/collaborative manner.
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical utilization of clinical information systems.
- Broad knowledge of patient care policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Broad knowledge of adult education principles, methods, and tools.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.
