About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Plains Motel (Brooks) Ltd. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Inspect Sites and Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of our facilities to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Prepare Budgets and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets for cleaning supplies and services, ensuring that we are getting the best value for our money.
  • Recommend Additional Services: Identify areas where additional services may be required, such as painting or repairs, and recommend these to management.
  • Maintain Financial Records: Ensure that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date, including payroll, inventory, and expenses.
  • Receive Payments: Handle payments for specialized cleaning services, ensuring that all transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.
  • Assist Cleaners: Provide support and guidance to cleaning staff as needed, ensuring that they have the resources and training they need to perform their duties effectively.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to ensure that our facilities are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Develop and manage work schedules for cleaning staff, ensuring that we have adequate coverage at all times.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Management: Proven experience in leading and managing a team of cleaning staff.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, management, and customers.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, with the ability to identify and address any issues or concerns.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform other physically demanding tasks as required.
