Make a Difference in Commercial Casualty

Our dedicated claims professionals partner closely with underwriting staff to ensure consistent claims service and proficient loss management. This enables our clients' companies to stay safe and strong.

Your Impact

  • Review casualty claims in conjunction with policy wordings to determine coverage.
  • Provide direction to adjusters on investigation of claims.
  • Prepare disclaimer and/or reservation of rights letters and communicate them to underwriters, brokers, and insureds when applicable.
  • Provide instruction to legal counsel to bring about appropriate resolution of claims.
  • Ensure compliance by legal counsel of our litigation guidelines.
  • Participate in mediation/ADR processes to resolve claims.
  • Negotiate settlements directly where possible.
  • Issue payments within the appropriate time frame.
  • Operate within our best practices guidelines, including timely reserve review, notes, payment requests, and electronic diaries.
  • Inform management of all complaints, large losses, coverage issues, etc.

Requirements for Success


• Minimum 2 years of experience handling commercial casualty claims.
• College/University or equivalent industry experience.
• Ability to make decisions and give directions to adjusters and/or counsel.
• Must be a quick learner with strong communication and negotiating skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficient computer skills to navigate paperless claim file systems.
