About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Dietitian to join our team in Nutrition and Food Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide expert nutrition advice and support to patients, families, and communities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership in team efforts to support the nutritional health of patients
  • Developing and implementing nutrition care plans using the Nutrition Care Process
  • Collaborating with healthcare team providers to ensure quality and continuity of care
  • Participating in the Dietetic Practicum and Internship program

We are looking for a Dietitian who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices.

About You

We are seeking a Dietitian with:

  • Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from a recognized University
  • Dietetic Internship Program completion
  • Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists
  • Minimum one year of working experience as a Dietitian
  • Strong clinical nutrition experience, particularly in inpatient settings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team

Hours

This is a permanent part-time position, working 70% FTE (52.5 hours biweekly). Hours may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation and Incentives

The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $43.43 and may be eligible for our benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
