This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing comprehensive health and safety programs within the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement robust safety management systems that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance to teams across SaskEnergy, fostering a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into workplace incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Stay abreast of evolving health and safety trends and regulations, recommending innovative strategies to enhance workplace well-being.
  • Oversee the annual Safety Stand Up Program, ensuring its effectiveness in promoting a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of health and safety protocols.
  • Manage departmental budget effectively, allocating resources strategically to support safety initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Science, or a related field.
  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six years of experience in health and safety management within the petroleum industry.

Additional Information:

Occasional travel may be required. This role is subject to SaskEnergy's Drug and Alcohol Policy.
