Position Details
Position Status: Temporary Full Time
Location: Employee Health & Safety
Hours: 77.50
FTE: 1.00
Shift: Days
Professional Rate of Pay: $56.50

Role Summary:

Reporting to the Manager of Employee Health & Safety, this role involves overseeing employee disability claims, providing leadership for the safety program, and coordinating health and safety committee activities. Additionally, you will engage in employee health promotion initiatives and deliver clinical services such as immunizations and health screenings.

The Employee Health & Safety Nurse will collaborate with the Employee Health & Safety team, offering health and safety expertise to staff. This includes implementing and delivering training programs, conducting safety inspections, and promoting awareness of health and safety services throughout the organization.

Other related duties may be assigned as necessary.


Qualifications:
  • Graduation from a recognized nursing program and current enrollment or certification in Occupational Health Nursing.
  • Registration with CARNA is required.
  • A valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle are necessary.

Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience is required, along with experience in occupational health & safety and/or disability management.
  • Proficiency in computer skills is essential.
