Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Finance and Operations, the Financial Operations Controller will join a vibrant team dedicated to aligning financial objectives with optimal operational performance.

This role encompasses comprehensive financial management responsibilities, including:

  • Providing Operations Finance support through operational data analysis, cost control, financial results assessment, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Overseeing financial reporting and controls for the unit, utilizing influencing skills to collaborate across various business functions.
  • Managing operating financial plans while ensuring adherence to internal and external financial policies and procedures.

The Financial Operations Controller will lead the reporting processes, including Monthly Profit & Loss statements, Forecasts, Budgets, operational reporting, and ad hoc analyses. Timely and accurate reporting is essential to deliver effective information to site and customer management.

Additionally, the role involves:

  • Supporting Operations with Cost Analysis, Margin Enhancement, and Cost Optimization initiatives.
  • Taking a leadership role in business process improvements across different Business Units and advocating for innovative ideas throughout the organization.
  • Fostering productive relationships with customers, operations, and other departments such as IT, HR, and Payroll.

Engagement in special projects aimed at enhancing process efficiency and performance is also a key aspect of this position, including participation in system migrations and other IT initiatives.

Qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in a finance role, demonstrating strong financial acumen and a solid grasp of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Exceptional analytical skills for timely data validation and report generation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics D365 F&O is advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) software and Power BI is beneficial.
