Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company policies.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Produce annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Financial Analysis: Provide insightful financial analysis, focusing on variances to budget, forecast, and prior year, and offer recommendations on areas of concern.
- Cash Management: Oversee activities such as vendor payments, customer receipts, and cash flow forecasting.
- Inventory Control: Ensure accurate inventory and accounting controls.
- Internal Controls: Develop and maintain internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Audit Coordination: Provide necessary information for internal and external audits.
- Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate federal, state, legal, and regulatory reporting and filings.
- Adherence to Standards: Perform all responsibilities in line with company standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting; CPA or CMA a plus.
- Experience: 7+ years in finance and accounting, with a preference for experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Leadership: Proven experience leading and managing a department, including supervisory experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with financial software such as Hyperion HFM, JD Edwards, Infor, etc.
- Audit and Compliance: Experience managing audits and ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS, cost accounting, and systems development & implementation.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to research and analyze complex issues, providing insights and making informed decisions.
- Problem-Solving: Strong strategic-thinking skills to devise creative solutions to accounting and business issues.
- Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining control and order.
- Independent Thinking: Capacity to think independently and take action based on established policies and accounting principles.
- Drive for Improvement: Ambition, energy, and drive to continuously enhance processes.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
