About the Role:

  • Leadership: You will inspire and guide the Finance & Accounting team, providing strategic direction and ensuring the successful implementation of financial plans.
  • Financial Reporting: You will be responsible for completing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company policies.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: You will produce annual budgets and periodic forecasts, analyzing financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Financial Analysis: You will provide insightful financial analysis, focusing on variances to budget, forecast, and prior year, and offer recommendations on areas of concern.
  • Cash Management: You will oversee activities such as vendor payments, customer receipts, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Inventory Control: You will ensure accurate inventory and accounting controls.
  • Internal Controls: You will develop and maintain internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Audit Coordination: You will provide necessary information for internal and external audits.
  • Regulatory Compliance: You will coordinate federal, state, legal, and regulatory reporting and filings.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting; CPA or CMA a plus.
  • Experience: 7+ years in finance and accounting, with a preference for experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading and managing a department, including supervisory experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with financial software such as Hyperion HFM, JD Edwards, Infor, etc.
  • Audit and Compliance: Experience managing audits and ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS, cost accounting, and systems development & implementation.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to research and analyze complex issues, providing insights and making informed decisions.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong strategic-thinking skills to devise creative solutions to accounting and business issues.
  • Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining control and order.
  • Independent Thinking: Capacity to think independently and take action based on established policies and accounting principles.
  • Drive for Improvement: Ambition, energy, and drive to continuously enhance processes.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
