About the Role

Rust-Oleum Corporation is a leading manufacturer of protective paints and coatings for both home and industry. We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team in Vernon Hills, IL.

Job Summary

The Quality Engineer will provide technical support for our corporate quality team, working on continuous improvement activities and supporting new product launches. This role will lead our Product Complaint Review (PCR) process, analyzing consumer complaint data to identify opportunities for improvement in our products.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with plant and corporate quality teams on quality projects and new product launches.
  • Conduct risk assessments on new product launches.
  • Design and implement new quality processes.
  • Analyze product complaint data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support day-to-day management of quality incidents and processes.
Requirements
  • 0-3+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting or equivalent process industry or consumer products manufacturing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical and/or Mechanical preferred) or Chemistry.
  • Proficient in MS Office and statistical analysis (Minitab, etc.).
  • SAP experience desirable.
  • Nice to have: Experience in lean, six sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
