Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled individual to fill the role of PC/Desktop Specialist I. This position is focused on the deployment, implementation, and support of desktop and end-user environments. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Datacenter and Network teams to ensure efficient software integration into the desktop image, package applications using MECM/SCCM, and maintain ongoing updates to desktop image builds. Additionally, this role involves providing hands-on support for local servers, switches, routers, and firewalls.

Key Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in troubleshooting hardware issues, including desktops and laptops, with relevant certifications preferred.
  • Proficient in the installation, configuration, security patching, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft technologies, including Intune and MECM/SCCM.
  • Understanding of application packaging and delivery methods.
  • Knowledge of Modern Desktop Administration practices.
  • Ability to guide business units in solution adoption and alignment with business strategies.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Skills in creating policies and standards for maintaining technical and application infrastructure.
  • Initiative to enhance internal client satisfaction and strengthen client relationships.
  • Ability to coordinate priorities between IT and user departments.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
  • Basic knowledge of network protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills coupled with business insight.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage workstations to ensure optimal performance, including core component adjustments, software delivery, client health monitoring, and reporting.
  • Assist in asset management for company-owned workstations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues, recommend solutions, and perform preventive maintenance as necessary.
  • Support workstation repairs and hardware maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of IT standards and compliance metrics.
  • Identify and enhance processes to empower the Service Desk in supporting the organization effectively.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including desktop procedures, user guidelines, system diagrams, disaster recovery plans, and access audits.
  • Ensure accountability for the desktop experience and manageability of the desktop infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with customers and the Cybersecurity team to design and implement modern security solutions.
  • Define detailed implementation steps and adhere to established change control processes.
  • Support Cybersecurity, IT SOX (Sarbanes Oxley Act), and ISO compliance procedures.
  • Assist with multifactor authentication technologies.
  • Deliver exceptional support with a customer-first approach.
  • Ensure traceability and accountability for installed software on desktops.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
