Position Overview

Hooper Welding Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in metal fabrication and welding techniques.

Educational Background
  • No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
  • Interpret and work from welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
  • Use brakes, shears, and other machinery for metal shaping, straightening, and bending.
  • Fabricate or repair metal components and products using previously set-up welding machines.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Materials and Techniques
  • Experience with aluminum alloys and stainless steel.
  • Proficient in various welding techniques including:
    • Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
    • Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) (TIG)
    • Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
    • Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW)
    • Plasma Arc Welding (PAW)
    • Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)
Equipment Proficiency
  • Familiarity with arc welding machines.
  • Experience with butt or seam resistance welding machines.
  • Knowledge of gas welding machines.
