Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Sucro Can Canada Inc. This role requires extensive experience in metalworking and fabrication within a sugar refinery environment.

Qualifications
  • Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in metal fabrication or related fields.
Work Environment

The position is based in a sugar refinery, focusing on maintenance and repair tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and fit metal plates and sections to create robust structures.
  • Utilize welding or bolting techniques to secure sections together.
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metalworking machinery.
  • Install fabricated components into the final product.
  • Employ machining tools for fabrication or reconditioning of parts.
  • Conduct quality checks and monitor product standards.
  • Document completed work accurately.
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to identify faults and malfunctions.
Equipment Proficiency
  • Experience with brakes and presses.
  • Skilled in using grinders and saws.
  • Proficient in welding techniques.
  • Familiarity with heat exchangers and condensers.
Specialization Areas
  • Structural metal or steel fabrication.
  • Pressure vessel construction.
  • Tank and boiler assembly.
