Position Overview

Sucro Can Canada Inc is seeking a dedicated Metal Fabrication Specialist with extensive experience in the sugar refinery sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in maintenance and repair, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency in metal fabrication.

Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in metal fabrication
Work Environment

The role is situated within a dynamic sugar refinery, where the candidate will be expected to perform physically demanding tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and fit metal plates and sections to create robust structures
  • Weld or bolt components together for durability
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machinery
  • Install fabricated components into the final product
  • Utilize machining tools for fabrication or reconditioning of parts
  • Conduct quality checks and monitor product standards
  • Document all completed work accurately
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to identify faults and malfunctions
Equipment Proficiency

The candidate should have experience with:

  • Brakes and presses
  • Grinders
  • Saws
  • Welding equipment
  • Heat exchangers
  • Condensers
