About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator, Metal Specialist to join our team at Sucro Can Canada Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components for our sugar refinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures, ensuring precision and quality.
  • Weld or bolt sections together, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines, maintaining optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Install fabricated components in final products, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts, meeting quality and production targets.
  • Check and monitor product quality, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Document work completed, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, minimizing downtime and optimizing production.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication and assembly.
  • Strong knowledge of metalworking machines and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on collaboration and customer satisfaction.
