Qualifications- Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role is preferred.
This position is set in an urban area and involves a combination of physical activities including sitting, standing, and walking. The work environment is fast-paced and demands a high level of attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and determine the materials needed for fabrication tasks.
- Interpret and implement engineering drawings and instructions to devise effective methods and sequences of operation.
- Plan and execute the cutting of metal in the most efficient manner.
- Assemble and fit metal plates and sections to construct various structures.
- Utilize welding or bolting techniques to join sections together.
- Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machinery.
- Create patterns and templates for fabrication processes.
- Install fabricated components into the final product.
- Manage the rigging, hoisting, and movement of materials within the worksite.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and initiative.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Commitment to values and ethics in the workplace.
- Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
- Language of Work: English.
