About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Superintendent, Traffic Controls to join our team at Green Infrastructure Partners. As a key member of our project management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Assist the General Superintendent in managing work on-site, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Schedule Planning: Support the General Superintendent in planning and implementing schedules, determining manpower levels, material quantities, inspections, equipment, and requirements.
  • Work Performance Monitoring: Monitor work performance to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are being followed.
  • Problem Resolution: Advise the General Superintendent and Project Manager(s) of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties, and assist in resolving these issues.
  • Cost Management: Maintain and analyze up-to-date cost reports and submit necessary changes to ensure the project is delivered within budget.
  • Communication: Meet with Consultants, Architects, and other stakeholders in a professional manner, and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company.
  • Project Performance Monitoring: Monitor project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, equipment maintenance, safety, and quality control.
  • Interface Management: Interface with project team, subcontractors, and related third parties.
  • Safety and Quality Control: Monitor and inspect project site to maintain a safe work environment and provide leadership to ensure policies, procedures, and standards are followed.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of project management experience.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge regarding MTO Book 7 (Traffic Control) is required.
  • Designation: An EIT or CET designation is preferred.
  • Desirable Experience: Experience on MTO road construction projects is desired, as well as experience in AFP/P3 Design-Build projects.
  • Skills: Results-driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast-paced environment, outcome-focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives, superb communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prioritization: Strong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Resourcefulness: Demonstrate versatility and resourcefulness in overcoming business challenges.
