About the Role

Penguin Basements Ltd. is seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare building layouts in accordance with building codes and regulations.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials to construct building frames.
  • Install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Conduct site surveys and ensure building levels are accurate.
  • Provide guidance and training to apprentices.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in framing carpentry.
  • Permanent employment with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced construction environment with varying temperatures, confined spaces, and physical demands.
