About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Angele's Framing Ltd. as a Construction Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Layout and Measurement: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to meet project requirements.
  • Construction: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure a sturdy and safe structure.
  • Worksite Environment: Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in dusty conditions, while maintaining a high level of physical fitness and stamina.
  • Transportation and Travel: Travel to various locations, with travel expenses paid by the employer.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in framing carpentry or a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working in a physically demanding environment.
  • Work Schedule: 33 to 40 hours per week, with overtime required as needed.
