As a key member of the Facilities & Engineering team, you will report directly to the Head of Global Facilities & Engineering (GFE). Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements while supporting facility management initiatives across various departments within the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Lead initiatives in collaboration with the Head of GFE, focusing on project evaluation, planning, and proposals to meet organizational needs.
- Ensure the environmental safety and security of all employees, as well as a safe atmosphere for building occupants and visitors.
- Manage the operation and maintenance of buildings and outdoor assets, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
- Oversee maintenance and repair operations, ensuring the safety of facilities, office equipment, and physical spaces.
- Assist in directing maintenance activities to maintain all site assets in a safe and compliant operational state.
- Support the Head of GFE in EHS compliance with legal, authority, and organizational requirements.
- Manage and allocate workspace within the building, coordinating employee relocations and ensuring an adequate work environment, including meeting spaces.
- Supervise daily operations of outsourced facility service providers.
- Act as a Key User for the CCTV and Access Control systems, coordinating updates and communications with vendors and regional support as necessary.
A Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, Resource Management, Mechanical/Construction/Architectural Technology, or a related skilled trade is required.
Additional qualifications include:
- A strong understanding of Facility Management and EHS.
- Over 5 years of experience in a Facility Management role, encompassing leadership, project management, and collaboration with diverse teams and subcontractors.
- BOMI and/or Certified Facility Manager (CFM) certifications are advantageous.
- Proven project management skills, complemented by strong leadership, organizational, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, particularly within a global, matrix organization.
