Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Yurt Lead to join our team at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service and quality in our dining establishments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage food preparation and presentation to meet HDY service and food quality standards.
  • Take and enter guest food and beverage orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform all cash handling duties, including opening, cash balancing, coin orders, and closing.
  • Clean and stock the dining area to provide a clean and pleasant environment for our guests.
  • Develop and implement daily schedules as required.
  • Coordinate and plan special events.
  • Provide administrative support, including inventory, ordering, stocking, and reporting.
  • Maintain effective communication through the restaurant, department, and resort.
  • Ensure all restaurant processes are carried out accurately.
  • Provide support to staff through guidance on guest issues, restaurant procedures, delegating tasks, and requesting your manager.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-year previous customer service and cash handling experience in a cafeteria or food service environment.
  • Minimum 1-year previous experience managing a kitchen, food preparation, and facilities for a dining establishment.
  • Minimum 1-year previous experience with cash handling and administration.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Point-of-Sale software.
  • Previous resort restaurant supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Current Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 3 is an asset.
  • Intermediate skiing or snowboarding ability is required.
  • Ability to operate a snowmobile while pulling a loaded trailer is required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light objects.
  • Ability to withstand brief exposure to extreme weather conditions.
