Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Produce Department Assistant Manager to join our team at Fortinos. As a key member of our produce team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring the highest quality of produce, and driving sales and profits through creative product displays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service in a courteous and friendly manner, maintaining a positive reputation for our company.
  • Assist in the creation of effective planograms to optimize product displays and drive sales.
  • Order produce on a daily basis, ensuring timely delivery and accurate inventory management.
  • Receive and inspect produce orders, checking invoices for accuracy.
  • Assist in maintaining effective inventory control and price changes for produce items.
  • Supervise and direct staff, ensuring a high level of customer service and productivity.
  • Rotate and stock produce displays, maintaining the highest quality of products.
  • Ensure the safety, sanitation, and maintenance of the department meet company standards.
Requirements
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a retail produce environment.
  • Knowledge of salad bar, bulk, and garden center operations.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
