About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced First Cook to join our culinary team at Argus Properties. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and plating dishes to the highest standards, working closely with our Executive Chef to ensure exceptional quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and plate dishes for service, adhering to recipes and portion sizes.
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to produce high-quality dishes efficiently.
  • Support the rest of the kitchen team to maintain top-quality service standards.
  • Assist with food tracking and control as requested by the Executive Chef.
  • Properly label, store, and rotate food items to minimize waste.
  • Maintain the quality of all food prepared with the Chef de Partie on duty.
  • Ensure the kitchen area is clean and organized, adhering to B.C. Health standards.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
  • Food Safe Certificate required.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a First Cook in a fast-paced hotel restaurant.
  • WHMIS training.
