Canada Distribution Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a strategic, client-centric leader to join our Global Distribution team as the Head of Distribution Canada. As a senior member of the Distribution leadership team, you will lead the Canadian Distribution team and leverage the broader resources of Aviva Investors to drive business growth and client satisfaction.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Distribution efforts in Canada to grow the Institutional, Insurance, and Wealth channels in line with objectives agreed with the Global Head of Distribution. This will involve delivering and executing upon the Canadian Distribution business development and client retention plans across all three client channels to maintain and enhance existing client relationships while ensuring a high-quality service is delivered to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive business growth and client satisfaction.
  2. Lead the Canadian Distribution team to achieve business objectives and deliver high-quality service to clients.
  3. Collaborate with the Global Distribution team to leverage resources and expertise to drive business growth and client satisfaction.
  4. Provide market feedback to colleagues to contribute to the continual enhancement of products and services.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and preferences.

Requirements:

  1. Deep understanding of public and private markets.
  2. Excellent communication skills, including influencing and persuasive skills.
  3. Excellent practical knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements with a consistent record of practical compliance.
  4. Relevant postgraduate qualifications, such as CFA, CAIA, Masters in Finance, or MBA.
  5. Experience of successfully defining and delivering a comprehensive sales strategy.
