Learning and Development Professional

Acera Insurance is seeking an experienced Learning and Development Specialist to join our commercial team. As a Learning and Development Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and delivering training programs for Commercial Insurance, providing creative and effective instruction to our team members.
Main Responsibilities:- Create and deliver training programs for Commercial Insurance, incorporating various presentation methods and applications to accommodate different learning styles.
- Coordinate training schedules and logistics, communicating effectively with team members.
- Manage group training sessions, ensuring a positive and engaging learning experience for all participants.
- Assess training needs of current and new staff members, auditing and adjusting training programs accordingly.
- Design surveys to measure training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with new, existing employees, management, and external vendors to ensure exceptional training experiences.
- Work closely with Team Leads to ensure training needs are met and exceeded.
- Contribute to the overall success of the Commercial Insurance department by identifying opportunities to improve learning opportunities and processes.
- Develop and maintain a vast knowledge of Policy works, Applied Epic, and Microsoft suite of programs.
- Support and facilitate large program renewals, ensuring a smooth transition for all stakeholders.
- Monitor and send out time-sensitive safety net reports, following up with team members as needed.
- Liaise with the Lloyds team regarding contract renewals, including contract numbers, wording, and commission changes.
- Work with the Learning and Development team to improve processes, workflows, and monitor helpdesks.
- Assist teams with activity backlogs and vacation leaves, ensuring a seamless workflow.
- Level 2 BC General Insurance Licence.
- Microsoft Office, EPIC, and common Insurance carriers products/portals would be considered an asset.
- Ability to travel and carry a valid driver's license.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a strong team player attitude.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with a friendly, clear, and strong speaking style.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to interact professionally and effectively with trainees, team leads, management, and third-party vendors.
- Strong attention to detail.
