About Bee Sweet Citrus, Inc.

Bee Sweet Citrus is a family-owned and operated organization situated in Fowler, California. Our expansive facility spans over 406,000 square feet across 36 acres, conveniently located adjacent to CA Highway 99. We operate five packing lines and three bagging lines, with the capacity to process over 3,500 bins of citrus daily. Our advanced optical grading and sizing technology enables precise sorting, while our Laser Brix system allows us to evaluate sweetness levels effectively. With 13 weighers and 28 bagging machines, we can produce over 32,000 bags each hour.

The facility is equipped with 31 degreening rooms and a 63,000 square foot cold storage area, allowing us to accommodate over 280,000 cartons of citrus. Our shipping department efficiently dispatches an average of 125 trucks daily across the United States and internationally. Our on-site office complex spans 11,000 square feet and is adjacent to our packing operations.

Key Responsibilities

The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Managing grower relationships and facilitating communication between growers and management.
  • Providing harvest history, pool returns, and processing grower advances while coordinating harvest requests with Field Management.
  • Ensuring compliance with export regulations and collaborating with growers to gather necessary documentation for crop protection applications.
  • Overseeing all aspects of harvest compliance, including ACP compliance and transportation documentation.
  • Verifying the accurate allocation of all received fruit to the appropriate grower, field, and lot number on a daily basis.
  • Reviewing contractor invoices to ensure accuracy and proper allocation to the respective grower, field, and lot number.
  • Assessing harvest charges prior to pool closures to confirm correct allocation.
  • Monitoring changes to crop comparatives and tracking overall variations by variety.
  • Providing growers with harvest information relevant to government programs.
  • Tracking production, harvest, and packing costs to develop per carton pricing strategies for sales.
  • Maintaining current grower harvest and packing contracts, ensuring all necessary information is included.
  • Managing FLC and hauling contracts, ensuring up-to-date insurance and licensing.
  • Monitoring fruit through production and providing feedback on the Field Evaluation Log.
  • Coordinating and assisting with special projects as needed.
  • Demonstrating flexibility to meet operational needs, including early morning starts at headquarters.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in farm management or leadership roles.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, or Agricultural-related fields.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required.

  • Annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, depending on experience.
