About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Aroma Espresso Bar NOTL. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards by conducting regular quality checks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Inventory Management and Record Keeping
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management decisions.
    • Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff to develop their skills and knowledge, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
    • Provide guidance and support to staff to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
    • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
