About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Manager to join our team at Loblaw. As a key member of our Consumer Insights and Innovation team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and innovation through the development and implementation of strategic plans and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Strategic Initiatives: Develop and execute comprehensive plans to identify, articulate, and solve for emerging opportunities, grounded in deep consumer insight.
  • Drive Consumer Research: Conduct research independently and with research vendor partners to answer business questions, and embed insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Develop Customer-Centric Tools and Methodologies: Leverage best-in-class consumer insights tools and methodologies to expand the Home Evaluation program, implement concept testing, and develop experiential learning opportunities.
  • Support 3-Year Planning Process: Provide consumer insights and strategic support to Product Managers during the development of 3-year plans, and serve as a central point of contact for internal and external data, trends, and insights.
  • Facilitate Workshops and Presentations: Organize brainstorming sessions and tactical workshops with vendors and internal stakeholders, and create compelling strategic recommendations leveraging data storytelling.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (or higher) with proven experience in product innovation, strategy, marketing, or a similar field.
  • Skills and Experience: Strong project management skills, strategic and analytical skills, ability to drive actionable results using data and insights, knowledge of customer-centric tools and tactics, and excellent presentation and visual storytelling skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Entrepreneurial mindset, ability to adapt and deliver in evolving and often ambiguous circumstances, curious, open-minded, and not afraid to question the status quo.
