Job Title: Relationship Manager, Mid-Market Business, Manitoba

Export Development Canada | Exportation et développement Canada is seeking a skilled Relationship Manager to join our team in the Manitoba region. As a key member of our Mid-Market Team, you will play a vital role in executing our 2030 corporate plan and promoting our total value offering in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and qualify potential customers, promoting our full value proposition to Manitoba Mid-Market companies.
  • Assess export financing, risk management, and other needs, matching solutions to these needs.
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of accounts, developing territory strategies and account plans.
  • Promote and sell our suite of knowledge and financial solutions to current and new customers.
  • Monitor pipeline progression and facilitate transactions as needed.
  • Execute projects, initiatives, and tasks related to market coverage mandates.
  • Maintain high client satisfaction and retention rates.
  • Develop strategies and plans for full market coverage, integrated with sector and country strategies.
  • Identify market trends and intelligence for regional or sector strategy development.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key industry associations in Canada.
  • Serve as a knowledge base and problem solver for prospects and clients, handling client negotiation strategies and interactions.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of business development experience and commercial lending experience in international business and/or financial services.
  • Knowledge of best practices in strategic sales and account management.
  • Established network in the business community in Manitoba relevant to EDC's mandate.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of bank credit and lending practices.
  • Valid driver's license.
Assets:
  • Bilingualism (English and French).
  • Business development experience in commercial banking.
  • Sales management experience in related industries.
  • Knowledge of international business practices and international trade.
  • MBA, CITP (Certified International Trade Professional), or CBCA (Commercial Banking & Credit Analyst) designation.
Salary Range:

Salaries are based on qualifications and experience, typically ranging from $71,063 to $94,752, plus a performance-based incentive.

Location:

This role will be performed from EDC's office in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
