About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk to join our team at Canadian Plate and Profiles Inc. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing our company's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Transaction Management
    • Prepare and process general ledger entries, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
    • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
    • Perform financial calculations, including costing and budgeting
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare financial statements and reports, including trial balances and cash flow statements
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Financial Systems and Processes
    • Manage and maintain financial software, including QuickBooks and MS Excel
    • Develop and implement financial processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Customer Service and Communication
    • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
    • Communicate financial information and results to management and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Other trades certificate or diploma
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks and MS Excel
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
