About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our team at Waterford Executive. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our organization, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, and driving business growth through effective talent management and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance to employees on HR policies and procedures, and assist in resolving day-to-day concerns.
  • Oversee recruitment and selection activities, including job postings, requisitions, and candidate interviews.
  • Lead and coordinate employee orientation programs, training initiatives, and development plans.
  • Support performance reviews, disability programs, and modified work arrangements.
  • Administer benefits, payroll, and employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist leaders in implementing company policies and procedures, and contribute to policy development and updates.
  • Participate in JHSC and other committees, and prepare reports and charts for HR action plans.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate or post-secondary education in Human Resources Management.
  • 5-10 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Completion of a Human Resources designation (CHRP) or working towards it.
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation, including ESA, OHSA, AODA, and the Employee Charter.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS systems.
