Position OverviewYour Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely project delivery while adhering to all Magna standards, customer-specific requirements, and expectations.
- Engage with clients in a professional and effective manner.
- Conduct Quality Gates reviews on current projects and offer constructive feedback to vendors for necessary improvements.
- Execute preliminary spring-back analyses to assess overall dimensional risks, conceptualize measuring fixtures, and plan for spring-back compensation. Compile findings into a comprehensive report.
- Evaluate Sigma (Robustness) studies to determine performance impacts on each component.
Ideal Candidate Profile
A degree in engineering is preferred, or a minimum of 10 years of experience in automotive stamping, particularly with Class A closure panels. A solid understanding of sheet metal formability, material properties of various sheet metals, and their implications on forming processes, die operations, and designs is essential. Proficiency in interpreting GD&T and its relevance to processing, development, and spring-back compensation is required. Expertise in stamping formability simulation software such as Autoform, PamStamp, or LS Dyna is necessary. Strong CAD skills, particularly in Catia, are preferred, while knowledge of NX is a plus. The ability to work independently is crucial.
